Pa. Turnpike worker injured in crash

A worker has been struck by a tractor trailer on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Upper Merion.

State Police say a crash sent a Pennsylvania Turnpike worker to the hospital.

The accident happened around 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in Upper Merion.

Investigators initially believed the worker was hit by a tractor trailer.

However, police now say the big rig hit a dump truck the worker was in.

The worker fell out of the dump truck after impact.

That worker suffered minor injuries and was being treated at the hospital.

The tractor trailer driver faces traffic violations.

The accident scene has since been cleared.
