JUNIATA (WPVI) -- Two children and an adult were injured in a fast-moving house fire in the Juniata section of Philadelphia.

The blaze broke out at 3:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 3800 block of Bennington Street.

When firefighters arrived, thick smoke was showing from the row home.

Firefighters quickly placed the flames under control.

The two children and the adult were taken to an area hospital in stable condition to be treated for smoke inhalation.

Several other occupants were receiving assistance from the Southeastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the American Red Cross.

There was no immediate word what sparked the fire.
