2 men rescued from sinking car in Delaware River

TRENTON (WPVI) -- Authorities believe a driver was speeding when he went off the road and crashed into the Delaware River.

It happened on Route 29 at the Route 1 bridge in Trenton late Thursday night.

Officers arrived to the sound of screams coming from the water and saw two men climbing out of the vehicle's sun roof.

Rescue crews pulled them from the river.

They suffered cuts and bruises but are expected to be OK.
