Street racer critically injures 2 young girls in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (WPVI) -- Police in Los Angeles say a wild car wreck left two nine-year-olds in critical condition.

Officers blame the crash on street racing.

The car the girls were in was not racing when it made a turn at the intersection where it was hit by one of the speeding cars.

The driver of the car that hit them was taken to the hospital.

The driver of a third car, the one that was racing the other car, got away.
