2 suspects sought in attempted robbery in North Philadelphia

Police are searching for two suspects who tried to rob a deli at gunpoint in North Philadelphia.

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are searching for two suspects who attempted to rob a deli at gunpoint in North Philadelphia.

The two men entered the ENI Deli on the 1600 block of West Susquehanna Street around 8:30 p.m. back on January 18th.

One suspect, armed with a handgun, tried to force an employee to open the door so the pair could go behind the counter.

When the employee refused, both would-be robbers fled the store empty handed.

There were no reports of any injuries.

The first suspect is described as a black male, 18-20 years-of-age, 5'8- 5'10 tall with a medium complexion and thin build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, black and white sneakers, black ski mask, and armed with a handgun.

The second suspect is described as a black male, 18-20 years-of-age, 5'8- 5'10 with a medium complexion and thin build. He was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, black sneakers, and a black ski mask.
