Pa. real estate listing includes a spicy adult den. Watch Gray Hall's report on Action News at 5 p.m. on February 8, 2019.

MAPLE GLEN, Pa. (WPVI) -- From the outside, it looks like a typical upscale colonial for sale, tucked in a quiet neighborhood of Maple Glen, Montgomery County.

Inside, along with hardwood floors, crown molding and a gourmet kitchen is a custom-built adult pleasure den.

The owner's banked on this special feature to entice buyers, but all it's done so far is draw fire.

The house is billed as a one-of-a-kind suburban home. Realtor Melissa Leonard says it comes with amenities that would pique the interest of most homeowners: a beautiful kitchen, a beautiful family room, a master bedroom suite.

The homeowner is even leaving behind a pool table. But that item pales in comparison to what's making this home a controversial hot topic across the area.

What really sets this house apart is when you open the door to the basement, take a trip down the stairs and you enter the adult playground.

"It has a sexy twist to it that is not like any other home in suburban Philadelphia," says Leonard. "In the basement is kind of, like what I call, 'private sexual oasis.'"

Yes, you read that right.

The house comes complete with whips, chains and other adult items that may leave many simply scratching their heads.

It was listed Thursday night and by Friday morning had hundreds of thousands of views.

The realtor has dubbed it "50 Shades of Maple Glen."

"I thought right away when I saw this house, that is the first thing that came to mind. I am like '50 Shades of Grey' the movie, the book and the suburban quietness of the hush, hush," Leonard said.

The house is getting a lot of buzz. There are only two other homes on this street and the neighbors tell Action News they are not happy about the attention.

"He showed us the setup and he knows how I feel about it," says neighbor Barry Katz. "It's not something I think anybody in this neighborhood would be happy about. It's not for us - take it downtown, take it to Los Angeles or Hollywood or whereever, just not here."

The homeowner didn't want to talk on camera, but the realtor admits not all the attention she's getting has been positive. Some websites have taken down the racy descriptions and pictures. But she says the house is still for sale.

"I have been a realtor for 15 years and I have never seen anything like this," Leonard said.

Just in case you're wondering, the asking price is $750,000, and once you buy it, you can do whatever you want to the basement.
