MORTON, Pa. (WPVI) -- A bar fight 30 years ago has cost a Delaware County mayor his job.

A judge issued an order Wednesday immediately removing Bruce Blunt from the office in Morton.

Blunt was convicted in September 1988 of aggravated assault, a felony, in connection with a bar brawl in Springfield.

Pennsylvania's constitution bars convicted felons from holding elected office.

Blunt, 54, took office last January.
