Bullet strikes car and injures man in Burlington City, N.J.

BURLINGTON CITY, N.J. (WPVI) -- Police say a man was hit by a bullet after it struck a car in Burlington City, New Jersey Friday night.

The incident happened around 10:00 p.m. on the 500 block of Linden Avenue.

According to police, when the bullet struck the car, it fragmented then hit the victim.

He was taken to Lourdes Hospital in Willingboro. He was treated and then released.

The shooting is under investigation.

The victim's name has not been released.
