Traffic stop leads to major drug bust in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A routine traffic stop led to a major drug bust in North Philadelphia.

Police say the suspect ran from the scene at 22nd Street and Clearfield Avenue around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

Officers recovered five pounds of marijuana, one pound of cocaine, $10,000 in cash and a handgun.

The suspect was taken into custody with the help of bouncers at a nearby nightclub.
