5-year-old boy struck by vehicle in West Oak Lane

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police say a 5-year-old was taken to the hospital after being struck by a car in Philadelphia's West Oak Lane neighborhood.

It happened before 4 p.m. Saturday on the 1900 block of West Spencer Street.

The boy was taken to Einstein Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the driver in the striking car did stop at the scene.
