PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- An impressive line-up of talented speakers came together in North Philadelphia to spark deep discussion.

It was part of this year's TEDxPhiladelphia event.

Our own Nydia Han was one of more than a dozen people to take the stage Wednesday.

Nydia talked about a driver who yelled, "This is America" at her, sparking a confrontation that inspired Nydia's "This is America" documentary series.

She used the experience to engage all of us in a discussion about race and who we are as Americans.

But then Nydia takes an unexpected turn, as she shares what she learned about her place in our collective conversation, about all kinds of divisive issues well beyond race, and a new response she's efforting to bridge our country's divide.
