Man struck by car in Wilmington parking lot

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- A man was struck by a car in the parking lot of a liquor store in Wilmington.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. Saturday outside of Wilson's Liquors in the 3800 block of Lancaster Pike.

Authorities say a male passenger was getting out of a car when the driver accelerated striking him.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was taken to Christiana Hospital in stable condition.

The driver was taken into custody under DUI suspicions.

Police are investigating.
