NEWTON (WPVI) -- Police have confirmed that two boys from New Jersey allegedly kidnapped by their father have been found.

Hopatcong, N.J., police said that 8-year-old Parker Kristopher Dohm and 7-year-old Jaxon Baily Dohm were found at the Royal Palm Inn in New Port Richey, Fla., by the Pasco County Sheriff's Office at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday night.

They are fine, according to police, and their mother is being reunited with them.

The boys' father, Kristopher Dohm, was taken into custody. He is in custody and remanded to the Pasco County jail.

Though the divorcing couple had joint custody of the boys, their father failed to return them after a scheduled visit the first week of February. Arrest warrants have been issued for Kristopher Dohm, who police say abducted the boys and left the state on Feb. 6.

On Feb. 11, a state arrest warrant was issued for interference with custody. A federal arrest warrant for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution was then issued on Feb. 20. Authorities said Dohm may have taken steps to alter his appearance and those of his sons, and all three may have shaved heads.

Their mother pleaded for their return when they disappeared last month. "No matter what your dad is telling you, you need to know that we are looking for you and we want you to come back home to us," Sandra Hughes Dohm said at the time.
