Police investigate North Philadelphia shooting
Police say someone shot a 44-year-old man in North Philadelphia.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A man was shot and killed while waiting in a minivan for his girlfriend in North Philadelphia, police said.

It happened around 1 a.m. Friday on the 2600 block of North Sartain Street.

Police responded to the scene for the report of person with a gun.

According to authorities, the 43-year-old victim was sitting in his a white Dodge Town and Country minivan when someone shot him in the head.

He was taken by police to Temple University Hospital where he died from his injury.

Investigators believe he was targeted.

No arrests have been made as police continue to investigate.
