WESTAMPTON, N.J. (WPVI) -- The Burlington County Institute of Technology (BCIT) says there will be an increased police presence at its schools Monday, due to a non-specific threat against the Westhampton Campus.

School officials said in a statement that the institute's schools are operating under a Shelter in Place protocol.

Activities will take place as usual in school buildings, with limited hall traffic.

Heightened security will be in place outside.

The school said all students are safe and that its schools are secure.

BCIT operates campuses in Medford and Westhampton.
