Police: 8-year-old girl struck by car in Mayfair

MAYFAIR (WPVI) -- An 8-year-old girl is hospitalized with serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia, police say.

The accident was reported around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Frankford and Crispin streets.

Police say the girl was taken to Saint Christopher's Hospital for Children.

No further details have been released.

Police are investigating.
