GLENOLDEN, Pa. (WPVI) -- Officials say a person was struck and killed by an Amtrak train in Glenolden, Delaware County.

The accident happened around 11:00 p.m. Wednesday between the Glenolden station and the Curtis Park station.

The train was traveling from Washington, D.C. to New York when it struck a person trespassing on the tracks, officials say.

The train stopped and was delayed for more than an hour during the investigation.

There were no injuries to the crew and passengers.
