Businessman robbed, carjacked in North Philadelphia

Police are searching for two men who robbed and carjacked a man in North Philadelphia.

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are looking for two suspects wanted in connection with a robbery and carjacking in North Philadelphia.

The incident happened around 11:15 a.m. on August 13.

Police say the 29-year-old male victim parked his 2005 Acura TL outside of his business located on the 2800 block of North 9th Street.

Two unknown black males approached him inside the vehicle and opened the passenger and driver front doors.

One of the suspects pulled a handgun and ordered the victim to give up $3,000 cash he had on him from his grocery store.

After forcing him out, the gunmen made off with his car and another $1,500 from inside.

The robbers were last seen heading west on Somerset Street towards Broad Street.

Police describe the first suspect as aBlack male, 5'6, 20 years-of-age, dark complected, thin build, beard, and wearing sunglasses.

The second suspect is described asBlack male, 5'6, 20 years-of-age, thin, dark complected, beard, wearing a tan hat, black shirt, tan shorts, and armed with a handgun.
