Innovative Housing First Initiative

CAMDEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- A new housing initiative was launched in South Jersey Wednesday, to help end homelessness in the Garden State.

State, county and healthcare providers detailed the "Innovative Housing First Initiative" in Camden.

Housing First focuses on providing individuals and families with permanent housing as quickly as possible.

The program has been used successfully in cities across America.
