Philly Students take time for veterans

SPRING GARDEN (WPVI) -- A Philadelphia high school paid tribute to those who have served our country Monday.

The Action Cam was in the city's Spring Garden section, for the Roman Catholic High School's annual Veterans Day Assembly.

Students and faculty read letters written by troops at war, some written as early as the 1770s.

This year's event was dedicated to veterans of the Vietnam War, marking 40 years since the end of that conflict.

Americans will formally observe Veterans Day on Wednesday.
