The Action News Morning team decided to hand out our own hardware this week for the 3rd Annual Action News Mornings Awards leading up to Hollywood's big night.

BEST SPECIAL EFFECTS
It's time for our final award this year.
Karen Rogers wins "Best Special Effects."
Karen has the graphics and special effects for all seasons, adding a little fun and Hollywood magic to our mornings.
She shows us everything from lawnmowers riding across the screen in the summer to haunted houses, ghosts and pumpkin patches in the fall.
She even includes fellow Action News members in her graphics, including Matt Pellman on St. Patrick's Day.
BEST SCORE
For our fifth award, it's time we are getting musical.
The award for "Best Score" goes to Tamala Edwards!
Tam is never afraid to sing along to her scripts, bringing a little melody to the morning.

BEST SPORTS MOMENT
We'd like to congratulate Matt O'Donnell for winning our fourth award - "Best Sports Moment."
In December, Matt hit his first hole-in-one while golfing with his son.

Our third award goes to Matt Pellman for "Best Poem".
He impressed all of us during his traffic report on Dr. Seuss' birthday.

BEST MASCOT MOMENT
We'd like to give Corey Davis our second award - the "Best Mascot Moment."
You could sense the fun Corey was having with the Phanatic while reporting on Phillies opening day last April.

BEST HIDDEN TALENT
We're starting with the winner for "Best Hidden Talent."
Katherine Scott impressed all of us with her skills on the ice.
She shot the puck past Gritty at the Wells Fargo Center ahead of the Flyers home opener last October.
And that's not all she can do. She showed off her skating skills. Katherine used to ice skate when she was a little girl.
