Fireworks likely cause in Allentown school fire

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- Officials believe fireworks are to blame for a fire that damaged the roof on a school in Allentown.

Firefighters got the flames at McKinley Elementary school under control in about 30 minutes.

Flames were shooting from the roof of the school on the 1100 block of West Turner Street just before midnight Saturday.

Crews will return to the school during the day to assess the damage.
