American Airlines flight from Philadelphia stopped due to smoke in cabin

PHILADELPHIA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (WPVI) -- An American Airlines flight from Philadelphia to Cincinnati was stopped due to reported smoke in the cabin of the plane.

It happened shortly before 4 p.m. Sunday at Philadelphia International Airport.

Officials say the plane was about to take off when the cabin filled with light smoke.

The plane was turned around, and passengers were de-planed and put on another plane.

Officials say the plane was taken out of service.

The cause of the smoke is being investigated.
