Having a baby in the summer may increase chances of postpartum depression

Saturday, October 28, 2017
The date you give birth could have an impact on your chances of suffering from postpartum depression.

New research from Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston shows that women who deliver in the winter or spring are less likely to suffer from postpartum depression than those who have babies in the summer or fall.

Other factors that appeared to increase the risk of the condition included early deliveries, and no anesthesia such as an epidural during delivery.
