PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A man was arrested Saturday night after police say he crashed a boat in the Schuylkill River, injuring nine people.
Philadelphia Police Marine Units say the incident took place just after 7 p.m. in the river, near 34th Street and Grays Ferry Avenue in the Grays Ferry neighborhood of the city.

Officers say the boat's driver was under the influence when he crashed into a concrete pillar that supports the Grays Ferry Avenue bridge.
Seven adults, a baby, and a toddler were taken to the hospital as a result of the collision.

Fortunately, officers say the nine people walked away with minimal injuries.
Officials have not released the name of the driver.
