Boy, 4, injured after being burned inside apartment in Powelton

POWELTON (WPVI) -- The Philadelphia Housing Authority is investigating how a 4-year-old boy dumped scalding hot water on himself in the city's Powelton section.

It happened around 2 a.m. Saturday at the Westpark Apartments on the 400 block of Busti Street.

Medics arrived and rushed the young boy to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia with burns on both hands, both feet and his rear end.

He is listed in serious but stable condition.

PHA owns the property.
