2 dead, 2 injured after Bucks County car crash; driver fled scene, police say

There was one person in the Ford during the crash, who police say fled the scene after the collision.

BRISTOL, Pennsylvania (WPVI) -- Police in Bucks County are investigating a crash that left two people dead on Saturday.

Officers were called to the scene at the intersection of Veterans Highway and Ford Road in Bristol, Pennsylvania, around 1:30 p.m.

Upon arrival, police say they found a red Nissan Sentra with extensive damage and a black Ford Explorer with front-end damage.

According to witnesses at the scene, the Ford was seen traveling east on Ford Road, and the Nissan was turning left onto Veterans Highway from Ford Road.

Witnesses told police the Ford struck the Nissan and came to a rest on Ford Road.

There were four passengers in the Nissan, according to police, and two people died at the scene. The other two passengers were transported to Jefferson-Torresdale Hospital for their injuries.

Police have not yet released the identity of the victims.



There was one person in the Ford during the crash, who police say fled the scene after the collision.

Investigators did not provide any further information on the driver of the Ford.
