TRENTON, New Jersey (WPVI) -- A Philadelphia woman is facing charges after a 3-year-old boy was injured during a shooting in Trenton, New Jersey on Tuesday.
It happened on the 100 block of Phillips Avenue at about 11 a.m.

According to police, 30-year-old Chante Odom is charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
Investigators say Odom was visiting the boy's father on Phillips Avenue, and during that visit, the boy found the gun in her purse and shot himself in the head.

The boy suffered a graze wound and is still hospitalized.
Several adults and children were inside the home at the time, police said, but no other injuries were reported.
