Thursday, July 20, 2017
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police K-9 units and officers on foot and horseback combed the Solebury farm of Cosmo DiNardo's parents one last time Thursday looking for any possible evidence.

The 20-year-old allegedly confessed to killing four young men last week. The bodies of Jimi Patrick, 19, of Newtown Township; Dean Finocchiaro, 19, of Middletown; Thomas Meo, 21, of Plumstead; and Mark Sturgis, 22, of Pennsburg, Montgomery County, were found in a shallow grave of the sprawling property of Rt. 202.

Police Return to Dinardo Property

"There's an old saying in construction, measure twice and cut once. We only have one shot at this property and so we want to make sure we don't miss anything," Bucks County District Attorney Matt Weintraub said.

At the entrance to the farm, flowers for the victims baked in the scorching sun.

Weintraub says Dinardo, and his alleged accomplice Sean Kratz, will soon have their day in court.

A preliminary hearing for DiNardo and Kratz that had been scheduled for July 31 has been postponed to September 7.

The investigation is ongoing, but Weintraub says the bulk of it is over.

Philadelphia police is also investigating somewhat vague claims by DiNardo that he killed before in Philadelphia.

"I can tell you we are working with Philadelphia PD and we're cooperating with them fully," Weintraub said.

Philadelphia police have been looking at old murder cases, but so far, detectives say they've been able to make no connection to Cosmo DiNardo.
