19-year-old charged with invasion of privacy, accused of recording man in South Jersey bathroom

EVESHAM, New Jersey (WPVI) -- A 19-year-old is facing charges after police say he was caught recording a man in a bathroom in South Jersey.

Police have identified the suspect as David Reyes, of Pennsauken.

The incident happened on Sunday at the Burlington store on Route 73 in Evesham, New Jersey.

A customer told police that while he was in the bathroom, he noticed a cell phone being held under the stall.

When officers went into the bathroom, they said Reyes was still in there. They said he was recording the victim for his own sexual gratification.

Reyes was charged with invasion of privacy and released, pending his first appearance in Burlington County Superior Court.



Authorities believe there may be as many as 20 victims.

"If you're in this situation, and you feel you are being victimized and somebody's recording you, the quicker you notify us for a response, the more successful the outcome will be similar to this situation. So don't be afraid to call," said Chief Walt Miller, with the Evesham Township Police Department.
