Search continues for man in Brandywine River

WILMINGTON (WPVI) -- Crews continue searching for a man who who was swept away in the Brandywine River in Wilmington.

The victim, identified by friends and family as 20-year-old Miguel del Valle, reportedly fell into the rain-swollen river in Alapocas Run State Park around 5:30 p.m. Monday.

Action News is told del Valle and a friend jumped into the falls.

But, that friend said, Miguel never came back up.

The group he was with waited for him to surface and, when he didn't, called for help.

The search continued on Tuesday.
