Fire causes house to partially collapse in Claymont

CLAYMONT, Del. (WPVI) -- A fire in New Castle County caused a house to partially collapse.

Firefighters responded to the fire at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday on the 1900 block of Garfield Avenue in Claymont.

They found heavy flames showing from the back of the house.

The fire was so intense, firefighters were eventually forced to evacuate the building.

Investigators say the back of the house came down.

No injuries were reported.
