First responders were called to Naamans Road near the Brandywine Town Center around 7 a.m.
Police say the 49-year-old drive lost control and ran off the road.
The vehicle then hit a utility pole.
The woman suffered multiple injuries, including injuries to her leg and head.
She was last reported to be in serious condition.
There was no word on a cause of the crash.
