Sunday, September 24, 2017
TALLERYVILLE, Del. (WPVI) -- Several fire companies responded Saturday to the DuPont Experimental Station in Talleyville in New Castle County, Delaware.

Officials say several workers at the facility at 200 Powder Mill Road were overcome by some sort of chemical just after 11 a.m.

About 18 workers were exposed to the chemical. Though not all complained of symptoms, several injuries were reported.

All of the workers went through a decontamination process and were taken to three area hospitals for observation.

They are listed in stable condition.

The chemical was contained, and officials said there was no risk to other buildings.
