Investigators say Cooper's motorcycle slid into the left shoulder and Cooper himself ended up lying in the northbound travel lanes.

As he was lying there, he was struck by at least two sedans which kept going.

The striking vehicles are described as a silver 2014-2016 Mazda 3 and a 1998-2002 Honda Accord.

Police say both would have sustained front-end damage.

Anyone who saw the incident or has information about it is asked to contact Delaware State Police Sergeant P. Dzielak of the Collision Reconstruction Unit at Troop 2, (302) 365-8484.
