Pedestrian struck, injured in Greenville, Delaware

GREENVILLE, Del. (WPVI) -- A pedestrian was injured after being hit by a car in Greenville, Delaware.

It happened shortly after noon Thursday at Montchanin Road and Kennett Pike.

The victim, a 49-year-old man, was taken to the hospital for back pain.

The driver of the striking vehicle, a 25-year-old Wilmington woman, was cited.

Delaware state police are investigating.
