Victim hospitalized after gunfire erupts in Wilmington, Delaware

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a shooting in Wilmington, Delaware.

Gunfire erupted at 11:30 p.m. Wednesday at 4th and Rodney streets.

Officers arrived to find a 29-year-old man who had been shot once in the leg.

He was taken to Christiana Hospital in stable condition.

Action News is told the gunman was last seen running north on 4th Street.

Wilmington Police are asking anyone with information about the case to contact the department's Criminal Investigations Division at 302-576-3620.
