Gunfire leaves man critical in Wilmington, Delaware

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- A man was shot and critically wounded in Wilmington, Delaware.

Police say the gunfire erupted shortly before 11 p.m. Wednesday.

Officers were called to the 200 block of North Lincoln Street, where they found a 34-year-old man sitting on the steps of a home.

He had been shot in the chest, arm and leg.

Medics arrived and rushed him to Christiana Hospital in critical condition.

Investigators soon determined the man had been shot in the 1800 block of Conrad Street.

They are now are working to determine who shot the man and why.
