Delaware City preps for flooding as storm approaches

Thursday, March 1, 2018
DELAWARE CITY, Del. (WPVI) -- In Delaware City, New Castle County, police have decided to leave up portable retaining walls in hopes they prevent some flooding.

The barriers keep water off the streets that are close to the Delaware River.

The police chief says the walls have been successful in the past.

The town also has two heavy-duty pumps to protect themselves.

A third is on standby.
