NEW CASTLE, Del. (WPVI) -- More than 100 employees in a Delaware school district got notice Friday that they're being laid off.
It happened in the Colonial School District in New Castle after the last referendum didn't pass.

134 employees in all were give notice, including 93 teachers.
Officials says state budget cuts also added to the layoffs that take effect June 30th.
Another referendum is set to be voted on June 6th. If voters pass it, some of those laid off today could get their jobs back.
