WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- The legal smoking age in Delaware has increased.

In April, Governor John Carney signed the law, increasing the age from 18 to 21. It took effect Tuesday.

The law includes e-cigarettes and vapes with anything derived from tobacco or nicotine.

There is up to a $1,000 fine for retailers breaking the new law.
