It happened around 10 p.m. on the 3500 block of K Street late Saturday night.
Officers found one male shooting victim in the doorway of a home on the block. A second male victim was found about a block away.
Both victims were transported to an area hospital for serious injuries.
The men were allegedly trying to break into the home when they were shot, according to investigators.
Police say the shooter was arrested for violating his parole by having an unauthorized firearm.
Authorities say another man was arrested after he allegedly began fighting with officers when they tried to question him about the shooting.
Police are continuing to investigate the shooting.
