UNIVERSITY CITY (WPVI) -- Drexel university is now working with Philadelphia city schools to boost the number of quality teachers in the district.

Undergraduates will have a change to become certified middle school science and math teachers.

They will also specifically learn how to teach in an urban classroom.

The program is made possible by a $1.2 million dollar grant from the nonprofit organization from the Philadelphia School Partnership.
