Residents were shocked to learn of the fatal crash.
"It's scary," said Kimberly Tondo of Egg Harbor Township. "It's a scary road."
"I came around 8 o'clock and I just saw a bunch of cop cars on the street and there was only one lane open," said Sadie Sparks of Egg Harbor Township. "And they were looking at debris on the ground and stuff."
Chopper 6 was over the scene Thursday night as police concentrated on the lanes next to several motels for a few hours.
People coming in and out of the condominiums across the street noticed the scene, too.
Police haven't released much information about the circumstances of the crash, but neighbors here say this road can be challenging to navigate.

"It's really fast-moving cars. There should probably be some sort of patrol there I guess," said Sparks.
"It would definitely help if there was a light there. You get breaks where you can turn, but then there's times that you have to turn and do the U-turn to flip back around," said Tondo.
Police have not released the identity of the victim.
No vehicle description has been released, just that it would have front-end damage from the impact.
Anyone with information should contact Egg Harbor Township police.
