Officer wins in face-off with 9-foot snake

Friday, October 13, 2017
LEON COUNTY, Florida (WPVI) -- A police officer and a giant snake faced off in Leon County, Florida, and the officer walked away victorious.

Detective Emily Shaw has experience handling exotic snakes. She and other officers came face to face with a 9-foot long yellow anaconda near Tallahassee recently.

Shaw calmly confronted the snake, picked it up and maneuvered it into a duffel bag. Her male peers were impressed, but not surprised at her snake-handling skills.
