The shooting took place on the 4700 block of Oxford Avenue just after 4:30 a.m. Sunday.
Police say a 32-year-old man was shot in the chest.
The victim was taken to Temple Hospital by SEPTA Police where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police say they have a person of interest in custody, and a weapon was recovered.
