Eating French fries twice a week could lead to early death, study says

Tuesday, June 13, 2017
Yes, we know French fries are an unhealthy treat, but could eating them on the regular send you to an early grave?

A new eight-year study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that people who ate fried potatoes, like French fries, tater tots or hash browns, more than twice a week more than doubled their risk of death.

Researchers did not find an increased risk when the potatoes were not fried.

It may be a good reminder to be aware of how much fried food you're eating and how often.
