Sharing family meals linked to better adjusted children

Thursday, December 14, 2017
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A study out of Canada shows the potential positive impact of having family meals.

Researchers followed 1,500 kids at age 6.

They found those who had meals as a family that encouraged conversation with limited conflict, seemed to be more physically fit and more well-adjusted by age 10.

Researchers don't know if it's the meals together or just a strong family bond that creates a positive impact, but it can't hurt to eat together.
