Study: Grilled meats can raise blood pressure

Friday, May 25, 2018
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- From the Poconos to the shore, people all over our area will be firing up the grills this Memorial Day weekend - but go easy on the grilled meats.

A recent study of 100,000 people suggests that people grilling 15 times a month had the highest risk of developing high blood pressure.

Past research shows that when meat is cooked to the charred point, chemicals call HAA's form and those are bad for the arteries.
