CDC: Nearly every state seeing increases in fatal drug overdoses

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The CCC has released new figures on overdose deaths in America and they aren't good.

The opioid epidemic continues to worsen.

Nearly every state saw an increase in fatal overdoses, across all age, racial, and ethnic groups.

Overall, there was as 28 percent rise in deaths between 2015 and 2016.

West Virginia and New Hampshire continued to have the highest rates of opioid-related deaths.
